Firstly, on Friday Aden competed in the School Cross country (the last one for him!) and he came away with the Boys Year 12 Champion! I didn't get to go and watch (sob) but at least I can scrap the medal! lol
On Saturday
Danielle and I headed off for the day to
Scrapper's Delite retreat in Lancefield. We couldn't go for the whole retreat, so we only went for the day! We had a great productive day and I finished 4 LO's and Danielle put a huge dent in her travel album! (won't be long now till its finished!!!!!) The food was yummy, the room was just right and the chairs were soooo comfy! The conversation was.....different LOL and I think got an education with some topics......
I can only show a couple..
This was for the
Wicked Princesses Blind Scrap. I wrote down all the instructions before hand and it came together quickly! There will be another one in a few weeks Sept 10th I think, so join in if you want a quick LO or give the old mojo a nudge!
Color combos Galore asked to draw inspiration from the picture using the colours and I loved these photos of Lachlan when he first learnt to do a somersault on the trampoline! (I still have flashbacks of Patrick and the neckbrace!!) Sorry for the dodgy photo but this isn't as wishy washy as it looks......
another of Aden...just because. His last year of Primary school and he couldn't wait for it to be over and start high school.
I will show the others later this week. ( NONE of Christie!!!) can you believe that!
***********
On Sunday, Lachlan's U16 football team played in their Grand Final against Melton. After a fabulous start we were ahead at half time bu 15 points and feeling confident. At three quarter time.....everything changed! nothing seemed to go our way and they let the opposition kicked 3 goals and they were in front at three quarter time! In the fourth quarter, things didn't get any better until about 6 minutes to go and we kicked a quick goal, another to to get in front and the last one just before the siren to seal it! a very relieved and happy team were we!
After the game, the boys were presented with their medals and Lachlan was presented with his
RDFL League Best and Fairest trophy.
We are so very proud of him.
