Hi there! Thanks for popping in today. I have quite a few backgrounds left over from my "alcohol ink day" not as much fun as my "alcohol drink days!" lol. I have a problem cutting up and covering up my backgrounds as I love them and the beautiful vibrant colours they produce. Neat & Tangled sentiment dies are fabulous for me as they have the shadow sentiment to use along with the sentiment, that you can also use alone.
The gold mixative is fast becoming a favourite and I love the effect with the greens. Paired with kraft paper, it gives it a lovely rustic feel.
I made a lot of backgrounds using my fabulous concord and 9th turnabout stamp I was trying lots of colour combinations to see what I like and what worked. Its you know, I love the inlaid technique and I couldn't resist using my MFT congratulations die to see if you could see the kaleidoscope of colours. Taking my inspiration from the glorious daisies, I loved the pop of colour against the black.
I was happy that you can see a good mix of colour. I decided to emboss the sentiment to give an extra pop. Waste not, I made another card with the negative of my background.
anyway head on over to Ann's beautiful blog and I look forward to seeing your inspired contributions for this challenge ♥
I love the concept of the turnabout stamp sets by Concord & 9th. I had a laugh when I you tubed it AFTER I had made my cards. I certainly went about it the hard long way (hahaha). It is such a cool stamp and Concord & 9th have a few different sets which you can check out at Scrapbook Boutique.
Hi there, We all know I am the queen of Quick and I love value for money too! I got this little stamp set from Pink Paislee Turn the Page. It is a stamp that you probably overlook, which I nearly did! As I do have most of what is on there in some form or another in my stash. Im glad I got it as I have been churning out lots of one layer cards for my stash!! I know I RAVE on about the LUXE inks but I think they are the bomb and a MUST have for your stash. The stamps I have used for these cards are new to Scrapbook Boutique from Ranger Letter it OH LALA!! they are awesome and I just love large script stamps that fit all occasions. Scrapbook Boutique have all the products and details for these cards so go along and check it out.
Now Its not the usual Pink, red and hearts of a typical February challenge and I love that it is a bit different. I have played with (AGAIN) the Alcohol Inks and I have used the Pitch Black and gold mixative......OH MY i just adored this and wanted to showcase the beautiful background.
February already! hope you've waved to the kids as the toddle off to school, cleaned up the breakfast dishes and are now settled at your craft table. Our challenges start again on February 10th so make sure you check out Scrapbook Boutique and join in, we have a blog hop too that might provide some inspiration.
I had a great day playing with my alcohol inks and had a lot of backgrounds left over. I love these backgrounds and hate actually cutting them up. Waste not though, I did use the last of the stunning pink themed off cuts in my cards for today.
That MFT edge die would have to be the MOST USED die in my craft room. I just love it.
I am FAST becoming a huge fan of Pink and Main I Love their shadow dies, great for a subtle outline or sentiment or used together.
Head on over to Scrapbook Boutique to check out all the gorgeous new products and details on the 'how to' re create this card.
Hi there, I have another card playing with Adirondack alcohol inks. Let me tell you, playing with these inks is so much fun and I did have a play a couple of weeks ago and had lots of backgrounds to play with. Some are just stunning and you don't want to put anything on them to take away from the glorious colours. Today's card is probably one of my fav backgrounds and my terrible photography hasn't done it justice! The blues are just brilliant and the mixative is truly gorgeous! I have gone fairly simple with the card today and just die cut one of the small mandalas with a simple sentiment. I haven't photographed too well but IRL I just LOVE it. Scrapbook Boutique have all the products used for this card to purchase along with the details too, so head on over there and have a look.
