Working hard for the money

It is school holidays here and my busy birthday month too!  I try to sneak a little crafty time in here and there, but there is never enough time really.....
Anyway I have a LO to share today using the Simple Stories woodgrain pack ♥♥♥ such an AWESOME pack of paper.  I am drawn to woodgrain, stars and stripes..... AND LOVE love LOVE those ink pads too, nice and sticky and hold their colour on any colour cardstock or paper.
My baby, during his last year of high school, needed to get a part time job as the parental money tree was drying up.... He found a job in a local Vietnamese restaurant that was opening up and quite enjoyed it, although soon realised you work long hours for not much pay.... welcome to the real world Patrick :)
Scrapbook Boutique have all the details and products used to make this LO.

Here is my take on the challenge.

This is SO different to my usual style of cards and I tried to push myself and go outside my comfort zone.  I do admire anyone who know their way around a copic marker or inktense pencils ect..... but I cannot seem to make it work. I know practice makes perfect, so I'll keep practicing :)
These crazy Tim Holtz dogs, cats and birds are awesome, I love them and I have used the whipped spackle ♥♥♥ love this!! with a mask and it is so light and airy and sooooo easy to use and spread.

...
anyway head on over to Ann's beautiful blog and I look forward to seeing your inspired contributions for this challenge ♥

Let's Chill

Hi there, apologies for the delay today!!! You never really know how much you rely on the Internet until you don't have access to it!!! and I'm not up on all the fancy smanchy jargon that they use so find it really hard to tell me what i should be doing....... anyway here goes....

I went on a retreat last week to the beautiful Hunter Valley and I was fortunate to get a few projects done!  One was to dust off the old copics and create a fun little scene with MFT lets chill stamp set.  I decided to use the watermelon cardstock to give a bright tropical feel.  It is the first day of Spring here and it has been raining all day here.  (bit like my mood after dealing with the Internet company)
Also to make matters worse inlinkz is not allowing me in there either!! GRRR what have I done ???
I will update that as soon as I can.
Head on over to Scrapbook Boutique for all the details and products used for today's card.
