HAPPY HALLOWEEN

Hello Happy Halloween to you!

Not really celebrated here in Australia, but it is getting popular with the young kids around here.  I am surprised is isn't as popular as the states as free lollies (candy) would appeal to most!

Had a little play with my Distress Inks and gloss paper. I really love this technique and mixing my colours.  No two backgrounds will look the same!

Had fun with my Memory Box Dies and made my spider a RED BACK!

Just a note!

Hi There!, just popping in to show a quick card from Scrapbook Boutique Another cute little die from Memory Box!!  I love the 3D effect of this card and a great way to use all your little flowers!  I decided to emboss the sentiment as I just wasn't happy with just the stamped image.  It just wasn't bold enough and I wanted to keep it simple and not have a tag or vellum on the card.  I have raised the basket to accommodate the flowers and im really happy with the result.  Head on over to Scrapbook Boutique to see instructions on "how to" and products used.
thanks for popping in x

You are Amazing!

Hello and Happy Monday!  I had the best weekend!! I had time to myself!!! (NEVER HAPPENS!) and I was quite productive and then equally Lazy too.  They do say, however, time you enjoy wasting is NOT wasted time.......

Anyway, on to more important things...... Had a little play with this La La Land Heart Tree oooh I just love it!  I have die cut a few in different colours but I absolutely loved the turquoise card stock and the yellow sets it off nicely.  You can't really see but I used glossy accents on the heart and raised with a foam dot and it looks fabulous  ( I really should take more photos....)
Scrapbook Boutique have all the details and products used to make this card, AND a huge stocktake sale at the moment too!! BONUS!

thanks for popping in :)

Here is MY take on the challenge......

I know that Aussies don't really celebrate Halloween.  Although, someone should tell the kiddies in my street that!!  I get a big bowl of packaged lollies just in case..... One year I didn't and I had to give out K-Time bars (energy bars) well THAT didn't go down well.........
If I have any left over, there is always my family to help me out!
This card was super easy and fun to make and I only needed a few product too!
Would probably be good for a little boy's birthday card.
I was going to hand cut the fingers but I wanted them to be a little gnarly and spooking looking, so I die cut the fern leaf  from Spellbinders and I love the effect.
Anyway, thanks for popping in,
Off to Linda's gorgeous Blog

Just Saying Hello

Hello again.  I love to get the maximum value with my 12 x12 paper packs as well as the 6 x 6 pads too.   I used to keep every scrap of paper and toss in to my scrap box, but the trouble is I NEVER went there to use the paper, I would always get a new sheet!!  I have my scrap box in clear view now and if its under 4-5 inches I bin it!  I have nearly a finished a LO  and I loved the pattern and paper I used.  I did what all the
big name scrappers tell you to do..... before you clean everything up, make a card!
I love this pattern and this card is super easy to make!! Great way to use your scraps and you can use any sentiment to suit your theme.  Head on over to SCRAPBOOK BOUTIQUE for all products needed and details on how to re-create step by step.

thanks for popping by!

MY Expensive MONTH!

Hi there! I've had such a busy busy time here and unfortunately any craft time goes out the window. :( We have had 3 milestone birthdays here with my boys turning 16, 18 and 21 all within ten days of each other ( I know, not well planned....) and SO EXPENSIVE!!!!
First off was my baby's birthday.  Patrick didn't want a party or to do anything really!! He had a friend over and they went to the movies.  He didn't even want a special dinner.  Obviously has an image to uphold (LOL) we are way too daggy to be seen in public with.......

He also went for his LEARNER permit OH MY GOODNESS... I have never known terror like it, except when Christie got behind the wheel for the first time!  We went to the back of nowhere and I gave him the spiel and Aden graciously volunteered his car (my car is a manual and deemed too much too soon....)  Actually I am exaggerating a little........ I spend 500% of my life exaggerating lol
He wasn't too bad although he kept veering off to the left and I felt as if we were going to go off road. Still I am going to pay an Instructor to do the terrifying bit and get him back in the car when he is a little more road/traffic/depth of perception is on track and aligned......   He, by the way, think he is an AWESOME driver.

Next was Lachlan's 18th and all the kid wanted was to get his licence!!!! I feel very comfortable with him driving, so I thought he wouldn't have a problem ( and he didn't).  He didn't want a party either, so we had a family dinner and went local as Christie had a basketball grand final that night and we have to support all the children...lol It was perfect actually as it gave Lachlan and his friends a chance to go to the bar (legally) and have a few birthday drinks before going back to our house for the cake.

Christie, by the way, WON her grand final! and because she HATES to be left out, I have popped a little pic of my princess with her medal!

Next, 10 days later, was Aden's 21st.  He didn't want a party either!!  We did go out for dinner and then off to the casino.  It was quite funny at the casino, Aden walked over to a roulette table and plonked a chip on 27 (his birthday) and it came up, then he popped it on his basketball number, I think, and it came up! he couldn't lose!  Lachlan "borrowed" $5.00 and turned it into $300!!
Number 27 came up at least 8 times and Aden was on it every time.  Lachlan had a chip on 16 and it came up and he didn't take it off for the next spin, "Let it ride mum!" and it came up again! It was such a fun end to the night and I'm sure they will remember it for a long time to come.
I did, however, try to explain BEGINNER'S LUCK but I think it fell on deaf ears!

anyway I have been sneaking away to my craft room here and there and will share soon! Thanks for popping in!
