What a fabulous weekend!

NO sport, NO swimming, NO housework, NO cooking ah it just gets better and better and to top it all off my fav scrapper is blogging again! YAY Nat!
Cyber crop at Wicked Princesses and challenge #2 was to alter your photo and do some stitching. Well I stitch on just about EVERY Lo so that was a no brainer! Be funky is a really cool website that you can alter your photos in just about every way imaginable! mostly FREE but there are some you have to pay for. I did the blog header as my photo ( love this photo).

and this is the other card I tried to do for Stacey Shaffer last week but I just couldn't get it to work. tweaked at it a bit and used it for an 18th.

Wicked Princesses are having a cyber Crop tonight! heaps of challenges and prizes
Just been told off by mother dearest that there is NO personal kids stuff anymore! :( oh well just for the rellos........

The boys first day of Term 2 and Patrick loved getting in the blazer and tie.  He asked his dad to help knot it but the kids wouldn't let him as his way was way too "gay"  since when has a windsor knot been gay!  Aden's blazer isn't too tight he just has a massive bag full of books on his shoulder!

I bought this feathers and ostrich feather wool years ago, to make a blanket whilst watching my boys play football ( does this sound familiar......) anyway it has been sitting in the cupboard for years and years and my friend Lauraine who knits as fast as anything and must have been bored said she would make it for me! I know it defeats the purpose of doing it myself, but what the hell, it was NEVER going to get done heheheh!
I cannot seem to take a good photo but this baby is magnificent! the ostrich feathers has a blue/red colour intertwined and she has randomly placed it in the panels and I just love love love it to death and it is the warmest thing ever! Perfect for the footy.  I am still crocheting by the way! I need Lauraine to start me off again as my starts are pretty pathetic......

Aden competed in his last ever Athletics sports day at school :( he did the 800 (3rd) and the 1500 (4th) and relay (2nd) Don't think he is going any further this time.  Lachlan just "forgot" his runners and walked the 1500 and did Javelin (?) Patrick, being his first sports had a ball and loved the loud music and the carnival atmosphere of the day.  He just went in the Javelin too.  I don't think he has ever thrown one in his life before!  I couldn't see him because it was on the other side of the oval and I didn't want to be a daggy mum and watch! plus he would have killed me if I did! lol.
anyway going to get me stuff ready for the CC! hope to see you there!

WOW! 2 posts in one day!

The Pink Elephant scrapbook challenge this week is an Easter LO.  I remembered this photo I have of the kids when Aden was in Prep ( this would be the ONLY time I would be allowed to paint their faces, so this photo os precious to me lol) Bo bunny PP (how appropriate!) some Paper inklings rub ons, AC thickers and bling and we are set.

Also made a couple of baby cards, Only boy ones at the moment NO little girls being born at the moment.

Cannot take complete credit for this one!  I saw the sea cut out with a circle punch on a card with a boat and I loved the concept! so I made two!

SSCCC#26

My lovely hairdresser got engaged and I thought I'd use this week's colours from Stacey Schaffer #26 to make this card for her!  Thank goodness I am starting my photography course next week! My you beaut camera is doing something really weird and I don't know how to change it back!  My card looks so soft and different IRL but you get the gist I suppose......

I did get a little of the 'curry' in there! hehehe

If you have lost your MOJO all you need to do is...

some challenges!  I love having a go and looking at other people's blogs for their interpretations and also see what other challenges are out there! Millions!!! I really love the look of this site ColourQ Challenge #27 was to use these colours

I just kept playing until I had all the colours!  I used the Basic Grey Marrakech PP as they have the most beautiful oranges and blues.  I was a little stumped on the beige so I sewed  the edges with beige thread!  The Teresa Collins plane stamp I bought for my Thailand travel album (a work in progress!)
****
Last night I also decided to participate (again!) in Kraft it up's April challenge of a Kraft base and a monochromatic colour scheme.  I decided on yellow (you couldn't use brown)

A while back Susan from 3 angels hosted a yellow swap and the embellishments are basically all from that!
The journaling reads:  Well this pout certainly works on your father and your grandparents and sometimes even your brothers! but it certainly NEVER works on your mother!
*****
I was QUITE productive last night!  I am a  lover of BLIND SCRAPPING!  (both kinds LOL) nothing better than creating with a lovely glass of red!
ANYWAY  Scrapz.biz are holding a blind scrap at the moment and IT WOULD HAVE to be a MUST if you have lost your MOJO! all you have to do is pick your photo and 3 matching  papers! ALL the directions are there for you to follow! It cannot get any easier! the HARDEST thing would be picking WHICH paper to use.
anyway whipped this up too!

That IS a snake on his face! A rubber one though!

My girlfriend's daughter is 18 on Monday and I made this! no challenge for this one.

anyway until the next challenge......
