seems strange typing that date.....

Here is my take on the challenge.....

I have LOTS of friends turning the BIG 5 zero...lately. I do associate with older people.... lol and this was made for a lovely friend who doesn't look her age!!
I actually cleaned my scrap room and found the delicious  EP Soda Fountain 6x6 pad and I love the yellow  stripes and dots! I was also very happy I found my middle die of my Nesties 3 labels!! I was all set to buy another packet!!!

It's like I've had a huge delivery of scrapping goodness when I have a clean up!!! I should do it more often....!!!

View from here.....

It's going to be a scorcher here today so I thought we'd better get our walk over early. Walked 5ks got the paper and had a yummy cappacino half way (big mistake)
I won't be doing that again.... I didn't want to walk back. The view along the river is really pretty. Not many out this early so its nice and quiet.

DECEMBER photo a day...

Sorry for the delay.... I've had very limited internet.............OH MY GOODNESS!!! I couldn't cope!!! I have realised that I am just a little bit addicted to the WWW!

I need to have a good hard look at myself and do what I did with the kids when they were little (and listened to me...) and ban myself or restrict access!  I'll let you know how that goes....

anyway here are the last days of DECEMBER.


27th December:- HOW YOU RELAX

Sitting in my craft room would be my ideal way to relax, but there is always something that needs cleaning, hanging out, dusting, paying or sorting that is FAR more important than me spending countless hours having fun...... Another way I like to relax is have a nice glass of champagne  or two with my friends!

28th December:- COLD

My Mother in Law makes the most delicious Pavlova, cheesecake, trifle and biscuits well basically everything really!  I wish I could cook/bake like her ( and so does my family) but I hate cooking and I don't really want to invest any time to learn either really so I will just enjoy eating instead.

29th December:- HOT

30th December:- Something that made you smile

Another friend turned 50 recently, and she had a theme of DISCO for her party. I immediately thought there was NO WAY my husband would dress up and initially, he was adamant he wasn't going to!  I ordered some accessories from EBAY, a wig and moustache and he was happy to wear it and looked the part.  I went with the Cindy Lauper look complete with leg warmers, leather fingerless gloves and tutu.  I even crimped my hair!!!  We had a fabulous night and looking  back I love this photo!

31st DECEMBER:- SELF PORTRAIT

I hate photos of myself and I am extremely critical....... I have edited this with a lovely warm filter from Photo toaster...... gives me a nice glow eh?!

1st January 2013:- TODAY 

I celebrated last night with friends and I was so happy all my children were with me!! For the first time in a while, we were all together and I was so happy!!!  We played a few games and time went really quickly.  We made our way over to the beach to watch the fireworks bring in the new year and they were fabulous.  A relatively early night for me.....  I had a little chuckle to myself that I remembered to take a picture of the clock as I was hopping into bed! 

2nd January 2013:- NEW

Well this is NEW for me....... At our van we have no bathroom facilities......I know I'm married to a plumber........  Every morning I trek to the toilet block 80 metres down the road, but before I leave the van, I put a tracksuit and look somewhat respectable.  TODAY, the first time in 10 YEARS  I walked down there in my PYJAMAS!!!! and when I came back  I sat and read the paper and had my coffee STILL IN MY PJ'S!!!  Hubby was staring at me in disbelief as he couldn't believe I'd done it!! So that is my NEW for today....and I probably won't ever do it again.

  

3rd January, 2013:- Heart

Had a late lunch and drinks at a cafe by the beach with friends today.  They brought their small son with them and he spotted a heart shaped shortbread biscuit that he wanted.  I told him I needed to take a picture of it before he ate it!! lol

Yes I have been playing with my embossing powders again..... How fabulous is the green!!!

I love this Hero Arts Cling Poppy Background you can colour the space or leave it clear as I have done.  So many uses!! Might even do a water colour with this too! 

I do really like my new Penny Black Circles and Lines background stamp too!

Anyway whilst you are enjoying your break....( I hope you are having a break!!) get some crafting done, I'd love to see your take on the sketch!.

December Photo A Day...

23.12.12-:  JOY 

I am not usually a stressed person, I am pretty easy going, but something about Christmas puts me in a terrible mood and a poor frame of mind! I find it hard to delegate, hence, the bad mood because I have to do everything myself....My OWN problem I know... :(  I really don't get in to the festive spirit and loving this time of year until Christmas Lunch!!  I really admire the people who have their cards done, baking done, presents beautifully wrapped and generally display goodwill to everyone they come across.  My daughter is one of THOSE people this year.  Christie has been working non stop, done all her shopping and has them all beautifully wrapped under the tree and really getting in to the spirit by dressing up for work (the poor dog even has to suffer this too..) It does bring me JOY to see her not carrying my MOODY Festive gene!!

24.12.12 :-  TRADITION

Every year I go to the Christmas Mass at our local Church.  There are so many people, it is held at a local basketball court. The two courts are packed to the brim with families with children so excited about tomorrow, the can't sit still. There were so many photo opportunities, but out of respect, I couldn't just whip my phone out!!!  I snapped the advent candles as I was walking out!! Mass was well and truly over!

25.12.12 :- LUNCHTIME

I really enjoy Christmas Day Lunch.  Everything has been bought, wrapped, unwrapped, loved or hated, peeled, cooked and dished up!  I am usually the last to sit down after I make sure everyone has a drink and their plate is full.  I often plonk down, have a sip of my champagne and let out a (thank goodness the hard part is over) sigh!!

I am grateful my family are with me and we are all together.

26.12.12:- MESS

HAHAHA not really a mess! Boxing Day we usually DO IT ALL AGAIN minus the fuss! The food is SO MUCH BETTER the next day and it is so so relaxing.  Today we all sat outside and had a few drinks, eating our platters of seafood,cold meats, pudding and summer fruits and watched the cricket! Typically Aussie!
