too easy!

Here is my take on the challenge.

still playing around with my gelatos!! such a fabulous effect and no two ever look the same!! I have used paste this time and I must say the hardest thing is to keep paper flat and not warp.  After it dries I place it flat and have something heavy (not too heavy) to restore it flat!.  Hope you join in, I will enjoy visiting!

Muse # 70

I love a long week end! I really should be doing other things...... but the next long weekend here is November, so what am I to do?  I have joined in the Muse # 70 challenge  with Vicki Dutcher as this weeks Muse.

I wanted to have a play with my MASK IT paper and I am so pleased with the results.  I die cut the largest Spellbinders label 21 and used the negative to cover my cardstock.  With the bender tool and my Distress Inks, I originally only wanted to blend the label.  Once I had it blended, it looked unfinished so I used the mask of the label and then blended the negative space with mustard seed and mowed lawn.  With a liner, a hand drawn line around the label gives it a 3D look.

thanks for popping in :)

Aden 21

Hi There!
It is so nice to get back in my scrap room!!! I was getting a bit overwhelmed with what to scrap, and in the end you just have to start!  I love this photo of Aden on his 21st birthday.  We had gone out with the family for dinner and then on to the casino where he won heaps on money!! What an awesome way to spend your milestone birthday!!!
I love mixing and matching my patterned paper packs (getting good value for money!)  You notice I've used these two quite a lot!  Great colours, especially for male LO's
All details, instructions and of course PRODUCTS!! can be found at Scrapbook Boutique.

Thanks for popping in :)

Happy Mother's Day OLS 5 and SR #227

Hi Again!! Just going to re do this post as  it seems to be playing the magician and disappearing  before our very eyes!!!
First of all Happy Mother's Day!! I hope you have a fabulous day doing what makes you happy!

Seeing as  this is my RE-DO post.... I can tell you how my day went down.. lol
I had a fabulous brekkie with the kids and then watched my eldest son play basketball, an exciting game that saw them win in overtime! A few fabulous hours visiting my mum and then dinner with my gorgeous family!  AND they bought me a ticket to see Wicked!!! (SO HAPPY!)
Any way, the card I have made my mumma this year is using the fabulous Paper Smooches bold flowers set which works great with my fav Luxe inks.
Going to join in One Layer Simplicity Challenge #5  fabulous flowers and Stampin Royalty #227 ( an old fav) for this one.

I hope you are ALL getting thoroughly spoilt...

This is the card I am giving to my mum today.  We have a few nice things planned and as soon as my family finish showering me with gifts, love and an awesome breakfast, I shall pop off to visit her!
I have been wanting to join this One Layer Simplicity Challenge for a while now.  I think one layer scares most people (and ME!) but I've bit the bullet and gave it a go!! It wasn't all that bad!! I've also joined in with an old favorite of mine Stampin' Royalty too!!

have a fabulous day!! :)

Here is MY take on the challenge......

You cannot really notice it too much, but on the right my diamond pattern is modelling paste I've coloured and with the Wendy Vecchi diamond stencil, smeared over a 5x7 cardstock!  I thought I was so clever with my one colour, waiting for it to dry and then repeating with a different colour (I moved the stencil to create an even pattern) I did have GRAND PLANS for this huge bit of altered cardstock!! but alas, I had a little chuckle as I used probably 10 cm on this project! lol!  Another shout out for Avery Elle stamps... ( I so should be getting paid by these companies!) really love them!
AnYwaY I'm off to go buy my Mother's day breakfast ingredients......

Thanks for popping in and now head on off to
 Linda's gorgeous blog
