Scrapbook Boutique July Inspiration Challenge and Blog Hop
Hello there! Well just five and a half months until Christmas...... eeek!!
We have a new challenge this month with such pretty and delicate colours and a gorgeous girly girl look! That isn't me so much as you will see with my interpretation LOL!
The Inspiration:-
You can create a LO, Card, Off the Page or anything that uses the pic as your inspiration and upload to the Scrapbook Boutique before 31st July to be in the running for a RANDOMLY CHOSEN
Now I have gone with two cards today. Both are using the same stamp and watercolours and Distress Inks but both have very different styles.
This first one I have used watercolour paper and embossed the Hero Arts open flower with a white embossing powder and with Distress Inks, water and my craft mat I coloured the petals individually. Then a quick lick of clear wink of stella gives a girly girl CAS look!
Then........ I embossed the Hero Arts open flower again with a black embossing powder as I wanted a bolder look and with masking fluid I also individually covered each petal. I left it to dry for a while and then with a wash of watercolour, washed over the flower. The masking fluid will resist the watercolour and only colour where you haven't put it down.
Once the paint is dry, gently with your finger, roll the masking fluid off. It should come off easily.
Bit more grungy and definitely not girly girl but we all get our inspiration for different aspects from the pic!
