Christmas in July

Hi there it is July already and I cannot believe how fast the year has flown !! Just to mess with your heads I have made a Christmas card today..... only 177 days until Christmas (I'll probably have four done by then...)

congrats! 2 quick cards

February already! hope you've waved to the kids as the toddle off to school, cleaned up the breakfast dishes and are now settled at your craft table.  Our challenges start again on February 10th so make sure you check out Scrapbook Boutique and join in, we have a blog hop too that might provide some inspiration.
I had a great day playing with my alcohol inks and had a lot of backgrounds left over.  I love these backgrounds and hate actually cutting them up.  Waste not though, I did use the last of the stunning pink themed off cuts in my cards for today.
That MFT edge die would have to be the MOST USED die in my craft room. I just love it.
I am FAST becoming a huge fan of Pink and Main I Love their shadow dies, great for a subtle outline or sentiment or used together.
Head on over to Scrapbook Boutique to check out all the gorgeous new products and details on the 'how to' re create this card.

thanks for popping in :)

celebrate with alcohol inks

Hi there, I have another card playing with Adirondack alcohol inks.  Let me tell you, playing with these inks is so much fun and I did have a play a couple of weeks ago and had lots of backgrounds to play with.  Some are just stunning and you don't want to put anything on them to take away from the glorious colours.  Today's card is probably one of my fav backgrounds and my terrible photography hasn't done it justice! The blues are just brilliant and the mixative is truly gorgeous! I have gone fairly simple with the card today and just die cut one of the small mandalas with a simple sentiment.  I haven't photographed too well but IRL I just LOVE it.  Scrapbook Boutique have all the products used for this card to purchase along with the details too, so head on over there and have a look.

Merry Christmas !

I find it really ironic that I make cards and whenever I have any spare time.... I love to get in my craft room BUT sometimes I actually buy cards (terrible I know.)  I am going to REALLY TRY to devote set time to actually getting in the craft room, join in challenges, visit (and comment) on my friends blogs in 2018 :)
I received a Christmas card from my lovely cousin today and I laughed to myself when I thought I didn't actually have a Christmas card to send her!  So after waving off my son to South America today I spent the rest of the day in my happy place.
I have dug out my alcohol inks and let me tell you they really are addictive!  I didn't have any YUPO paper which is supposed to be the paper to use nor did I have any Tim Holtz Alcohol Ink White paper I can't tell you which is better as I just used my standard glossy paper and it worked a treat. I am going to buy some and I'll let you know.  I did add some mixatives, the gold and silver and I just adore the effect it created.
I trimmed my A4 sheets into 1/4 and just played and played and played.  I tried a few different combinations and have lots of backgrounds to create with.
I loved the one I have used today, It has a very Chrismassy feel to it.  I grabbed my lovely MFT die from last year and it was perfect as it didn't use too much of the gorgeous background.  MFT have designed a couple more in the same theme and they are definitely on my wish list.

Anyway head on over to Scrapbook Boutique and checkout all the details on this card along with products used to purchase.

May all of your Christmases be white

Hi there,

The older you get the quicker the years fly by!  I cannot believe how quickly this year has gone.  It a little over  a month it will be Christmas.  I am a little organised this year, I don't make a lot of Christmas cards and those who receive the handmade ones truly appreciate them.  I have used the faux letterpress technique with this card using the Kaiscraft Petals embossing folder. Scrapbook Boutique will have all the products used along with the details on this card.  Have a go and join in our challenge, there is 10 days left :)

Christmas is a time for making memories

WOO HOO it is officially the start of Christmas.... In my opinion.  I usually wait until after my birthday in October to even begin to start thinking anything Christmas!  Today I have kicked of the season with a CAS Christmas card with the obligatory glitter and Christmas tree! A rather quick design and you can make a few at a time.
Scrapbook Boutique have all the details and products that I have used in the shop so head on over and have a look.

Muse #233

hmmmm 14 week until Christmas.............. I have one friend that is really good with Christmas cards. She makes them and they are stunning, creative and colourful.  I make one card a year now (blush) and she is the recipient of that card!!!  BUT this year I plan to make a few cards ( yeah yeah I know I am full of talk)
The first card of the season is using the Stampin' Up Merriest Tag Framelits and SU Merriest Wishes stamps. What a cute set this is I love it.  I have also found an old MFT Christmas stamp set during a cleanup and thought it worked perfectly with the bauble.  I am joining in with the Muse challenge this week, love Tracey's CAS card getting me started on the road to being organised!

stamps: SU Merriest Wishes, MFT Seasonal Sentiments
Die: SU Merriest Wishes framelit Dies

Here is my take on the challenge.

Almost like putting a jigsaw puzzle together!  I die cut all my shapes and then pieced them together in the pattern I wanted.  A tip though, make sure your first shape is square with your base and it will all fall in to place.

anyway head on over to Ann's beautiful blog and I look forward to seeing your inspired contributions for this challenge ♥
