Hi there!

I decided after a couple of spare hours last night to attempt the StaceyShafer Colour Curtain Call #32 with a sketch from Stamp with Us  and I was really happy with the result until I went back on SWU website and realised that they require you to use at least ONE stampin UP product! Lucky I had heaps of time....so I made another one!.  I  really liked this sketch nice and easy to work with.

A new Pink Elephant Challenge

The theme this week  a The Pink Elephant is Summer Family fun.  I had this gorgeous Jenni Bowlin text book paper and I have been itching to use it!  These photos of Patrick in the surf went perfectly. (so I thought)  I have used some of the photos from this day on a Pink Paisley book  from the retreat (which I shall show later when I finish it)  I really should go all out to finish projects at the actual retreat because I get a little distracted when I get home! :(
The CARD Challenge this week at The Pink Elephant is ORANGE

I made a little pillow box for a friend's daughter's 18th prezzie. Thought it would fit the orange theme!

Also silly me! The lovely award from Fern last post I was supposed to pass it on to 5 people whom I believe are "going places"

1. Miss Natalie  ......everything she does is just gorgeous and so glad she is blogging again! I had such withdrawals and with 3 angels and Scrappin' Kats closing..I didn't know how I was going to stalk her! lol

2. Marcy (aka Ms Holtz) ...Man this lady has a way with wordsalways has me in a fit of giggles and extremely talented with her fabulous OTP projects!

3. Mel (aussiescrapper)  What a gorgeous lady she is! A bloggers best friend! never too busy for a kind word and comment and pretty awesome work too!

4. Sue Kholer I love her cards! so clean and pretty and everything I want MY cards to look like! Everything seems to look effortlessly beautiful and I have regained my love of cardmaking again. Sue is also on the DT for Stacey Shafer card challenges I have been doing.

5. Helen (aka country scrapper) another gorgeous friend who is on the DT at Scrapbooking Divas, beautiful LO's and heaps of great ideas too!

I really could go on and on.......
:)
Off to my last lesson of my photography course tonight, so be prepared to be bombarded by my sensational photos! lol

Well lots has been happening!

My mum decided on Wednesday that she wanted to come and visit ......on Thursday!  It was such a lovely surprise and the kids were soooo happy to see her.  She looked so well, better than I had expected.  We didn't do much which suited her fine (she has a little trouble getting around). so all my scrapping time was gone.....so nothing really to show other than..

The Pink Elephant is doing a sketch challenge this week and I am NOT a fan of sketches!  I never know how close to actually follow the sketch!  I can be quite literal and if I see an embellishement in a spot then Ihave to follow! lol  NOT the case with Lori's sketch! nice and broad so it leaves lots to the imagination!
here is this weeks' sketch.

I really love this photo of Lachlan & Patrick.  They have such a special relationship and a really good friends as well as brothers.  I have pretty much been faithful to the sketch!

Thanks to Fern for her lovely blog award!

Yes another challenge!

The Pink Elephant has a new challenge for this week and it is PINK! I have been doing heaps of pink LO lately so all my pp was close at hand! With only having one daughter, it is of Christie!
I have cleaned my scrap room and it looks fantastic!!!! I have a place for everything and FOUND heaps of things I must have stashed! anyway I cannot wait to get started.

Happy mother's day to me!

I sort of missed out on brekkie as we had insterstate visitors turn up in the morning and when they left I had to get ready to take the boys to football!
I did the shopping and had the in-laws and SIL and her family so I made a heap of salads and a huge roast pork and we all had a really lovely time together.
not really a family photo unless we pull faces (won't put this on facebook as the kids would kill me! lol) but seeing as they don't read this! bahaaabaabaahahahah!
I got some great prezzies! new jammies, a massage at a local spa! (YAY) and some cables I apparently needed! to watch avi's?!?

Aden & Lachlan did a Interschool Cross country run and both did pretty well. Lachlan placed in the top 20 I think he was 18th and Aden finished 4th.  He was a little disappointed as he came 3rd last year.  There were so many in each race, I was so proud of them both!!!
Christie is really on cloud nine at the moment, she was selected for the Vic Uni womens basketball team to play in Perth in September. WOO HOO ....now for some fundrasing!
:)

10.5.10

I went to Newcastle last weekend

for a scrapbook retreat ( or as my friends say a nana camp!) anyway I had a great time with my friends Naomi and Danielle and even met Ali from Wicked Princesses!  Our accomodation was just magical and the views while we were scrapping were just beautiful.
the two doors that are open on the right of the photo are where we scrapped the days away.
this is the lovely pier where the dolphins were playing just at the end! By the time I got there with my camera, they had gone :(
I like this photo.....Nai wants me to super impose myself like I am walking on water!
Nai (bottom left) Ali (bottom right)
Danielle (top right)
It is so cool to meet the people you are chatting with on forums!  I loved meeting my 3 Angels Scrapping friends at our retreat!
anyway a few LO's

there was no sewing machine at the retreat and I think I need to sew 'something' on this one it just doesn't look finished!
going to have a bit of a clean up of the old scrap room as it is a tip!

ACT #28

Stacey Shaeffer Colour Curtin Challenge #28 was certainly challenging for me (hence the late post!) I fiddled and it just didn't come together as I'd planned!
I also did last weeks challenge but as I was at my retreat I didn't get to post it! :(
I ended up sending it to my mum for her mother's day card!
I will get some time tomorrow for a LONG post with heaps of LO and stuff to share.
